Crisis Stabilization Beds
NSH Crisis Stabilization Beds offers members a structured living environment with 24-hour staff availability to frequently monitor members’ health, safety, and psychiatric stability. Crisis Stabilisation Beds provide individual care in alignment with the members’ needs and personal goals toward recovery. Numerous groups, individual treatment, and case management support are offered for members to meet their recovery goals and return to community living situations.

Objective:
To provide a short-term crisis stabilization bed and an opportunity for the member to stabilize in order to divert a hospitalization and serve the member safely in a less restrictive setting. All crisis stabilization beds are voluntary and have a maximum stay of three days, which facilitates a smooth transition into outpatient mental health services.

Supervised Living Arrangement Beds
Supervised Living Arrangement Beds are provided to members experiencing a mental health crisis. Supervised Living Arrangement services may be provided prior to an intake evaluation for mental health services. Supervised Living Arrangement services include short-term, face-to-face life skills training and understanding the effects of medication. This service includes follow-up crisis services, additional stabilization services as determined by a mental health professional, and discharge planning.

  • Therapists and intensive case managers are on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to offer focused crisis intervention and referrals for members.
  • Therapists are notified of the client’s exacerbation of psychiatric symptoms and intervene immediately, ensuring the least restrictive environment.
